Don’t throw it away, collect it!

Has there always been a certain thing that’s caught your eye, but you didn’t know if it was a trash or treasure? Don’t over think it. If it’s something you like, hold on to it and be proud. Let’s start a collection.

Know what you’re interested in. Are they stamps, golf balls, 50’s toys or cars? Make a list of all the things that you would want to collect, and decide what would be the easiest for you.

Decide how you’re going to get these items. If it’s something you’re passionate about, you might do anything you can short of stealing (we hope). Consider your resources. Try searching the internet, garage sales, or antique shops. Make sure you set a budget for yourself so you don’t go overboard.

Set up a place to store your items. You might want them to be displayed proudly in your home, so buy a display case or two to show them off. Once these items are in your possession, make a list of everything you have to keep track of your inventory and their value.

Remember that you can collect anything, and just because it’s not valuable to others doesn’t mean it’s not valuable to you. Have fun and happy collecting.
