3 Reasons We’re Obsessed with Fall

Forget soaking up the sun, we’re falling head over heels for autumn.

Why are we so flustered with feelings of felicity? Because fall is here friends! And it’s a golden opportunity for friends, family and lots of fun.

Here are all the reasons we love fall and ways we plan on enjoying it:

1. It’s ideal outdoor weather.
If scorching summer temperatures and sweat don’t do it for you, fall is your opportunity to love on the outdoors. Just a half an hour of raking leaves burns 50 calories—you get your workout in while doing chores. And we’re all about that two birds with one stone thing.

If you’re looking for something more festive, try apple picking. We know it’s cliché, but it can get rid of 300 calories in an hour and a half. And then you get to eat as a reward. What a great system. No matter your activity of choice, get out there and enjoy the crisp autumnal air (and leave your sweatbands at home, no need for them in these perfect fall temps.).

2. It’s brings a cornucopia of fresh produce.
Hit up local farmer’s markets and look for seasonal favorites such as apples, pumpkins, sweet potatoes, and figs. Explore new ways to prepare old favorites. Challenge yourself in the kitchen and treat your loved ones to a tasty new treat.

3. It encourages our healthy habits to set in.
School is back in full swing. And whether you’re a student, have children or don’t, you’re likely getting into a new fall schedule. Studies show that going to bed and waking up at the same time each day promotes healthy sleep. Be sure you’re striving for those magical 8 hours (even if you claim you don’t need it, your body does).
